Hi! I'm Mari
God has blessed me with a wonderful life! I’m born and raised in South Africa, although I spent a year abroad in Tunisia (a story for another time). God has blessed me with a wonderful life! My life mostly revolves around tennis and academics. I will start studying at the University of Notre Dame – a literal dream come true – which I cannot wait for.
Recently I have developed a passion for writing. I guess the fact that I had to take AP literature sparked the joy I find in painting a picture with words. I started this blog not only because I enjoy it, but because I want to help people. Especially young athletes. I want this to be a place where I can share my experiences so that people can learn from it, from someone who has truly been there.

Reading
The amount of joy a good book brings me is unmatched. I am not just talking about novels and romances (I do not by any means say they are inferior) but also poems and essays.
Cooking
Firstly, It's safe to say that I am a master in the kitchen. Also, I love trying out new food and giving it my own personal review
Writing
Although it is obvious at this point, it is so fun to get creative with a pen (well a keypad at this point)
